Finish off 2011 with more Treasuries

This has been a lovely 2011 for my Etsy Shop, Sea Sand Vintage. Although I'm unsure as to how my reputation is on Etsy, I hope that I have some fans out there that really enjoy my store and items. I have been trying to add more items to make a full three pages, but people continuing to buy has made this task never ending, and for that I thank them!

Below are some Treasuries my items have been featured in:

Thaak you to Judi Morris from thevintagehopechest

Thank you to Irit from MeshuMaSH

A Merry Etsy Christmas!

I found some unbelievable deals on Etsy for the holidays! Please click on each photo to see where I got the item! All these sellers have been quite lovely and helpful. The photos and print were gifts for me mostly. Sometimes you need to Treat Yo Self!

The next two items were for my sister, who loves her camera collection and Harry Potter.

The last is for my Mom, she tends to be a little disorganized and I try to make her life easier by getting things that will contain her belongings. She loves to sew and now she can find all of her thread much easier!

Christmas Cards

I love quirky Christmas cards and when I saw these from Alternate Histories , I knew I had to get them! "Dinosaurs, sea serpents, giant monsters, and a UFO wreak havoc on these traditionally warm Christmas scenes." Everyone loved them and I am so pleased that people share my sense of humor!

Reusing Containers

I love re-using/ re-pursing containers! The following are containers I use at home and at work. The first photo: my Mug that I got at a Buddhist Retreat, holds my chopsticks, coffee stir spoon, my Deer Finger-puppet from the American Folk Art Museum in NYC, the box is from Bottega Louie and holds my tape, tacks, white out and glue. The Plastic container is from Wolfe's Market, it once held cake pops and it's the perfect size for my pencils, pens, highlighters, and scissors.

At work I've re-purposed tea containers for office supplies, pencils, pens, paperclips, tape and scissors.

Vintage Bedroom

I have always loved vintage and I have been acquiring pieces since I was a teen. Here are some of my favorite pieces in my bedroom that I love and use often.
I love, love, love this Mint Green Savoy Camera from Ameelia Bedelia Vintage! I have an interest in unique cameras that have a lot of personality.

This vintage vanity mirror is great for putting on make up and I love it so much.

This tiered silver tray was purchased by me for serving scones and tea sandwiches, but I use it to hold my make-up, and other side table items. It's great for organization and it's easy for me to keep all of my small belongings from getting lost.

Finally, my glass jars and bottles that hold my perfume and bath salts. I have two for sale in my Etsy Store, but I have yet to let go of these great glass pieces, they are just so awesome!

First Cyber Monday

My first Cyber Monday was great, the One Step Rainbow SX70 Land Polaroid Camera sold, as did the Vintage 45 Vinyl Record of Sci-Fi Music! I had a great deal of views and did all of my Christmas shopping on Etsy and I used nothing but Coupon Codes, saving me a lot of money! A blog entry on that coming up soon.

I have a Vintage Merry Christmas Bing Crosby Vinyl LP on sale at my shop, Sea Sand Vintage. I love Bing Crosby and nothing feels like Christmas like having Bing singing in the background. I'd like to thank all of my fellow Etsy members for adding Bing into their Treasuries.

I have always loved rubber stamps, ever since I was a kid. and I also have always enjoyed the craft of stamp and printing. It's great that my Etsy Store has made it possible for me to use my talents and hobbies to create something that I hope my customers will appreciate.

Step One: Cutting an old Calendar and Reusing it for Thank you Notes from Flakes Paperie
The Vintage Cutting Board is from an Oh Hello Friend Pop-up Shop Sale
The Vintage Printers Block is from the LA Printers Fair

Step Two: Using the Vintage Printer's Block for the Thank you note, with a separate Thank you stamp from Michaels Arts and Crafts.

Step Three: Creating a Stamp Block with Carving Tools for the outside of the Packages
