January Sales!

Amazingly, January has been steady for sales. I heard about the after Christmas slump, but sales have been good. I am so happy that these new items have already been shipped to their new homes!

Below is the stamp I made so that packages can have my logo and my customers know what is in the package when it comes in the mail, I hope it brings a smile to their face!

I am trying to put more images on Etsy! This month is going great. I'm still attempting to have three full pages, but customers always end up buying something... which I really don't mind at all ;) Anyway, please click on these images to see the listings!

Skins!

On a personal note, I have to say I am very happy that Skins is back! While I have yet to fall in love with a cast like the First Generation of Skins, I am happy that this Generation is a group of friends that actually get along (so far anyway).

2012 Blog Theme

There's a new "look" for the Sea Sand Vintage Blog. It's the Gitterpavillon in the Schloss Sanssouci in Potsdam, Germany! This is the view from above. This images below are edited versions of the original photo. I wanted the photo to be less blue since in 2011, the Sea Sand Vintage colors were Blue & Yellow, this year they are Green and Yellow. Now the Sea Sand Vinatge Etsy, Twitter and Blog have a new Theme and I am so happy with it!

My life curating art exhibits!

Although it's always a huge worry waiting to see if artwork will work out for this show, it's always great to see it come together in the end. Here are some images of our upcoming show featuring MFA students!

Rose Bowl Flea Market

It has been a goal of mine to go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and since I live in CA and have yet to experience this marketplace, until now!

I saw some great pieces, but everything was very expensive and costly. This place is great for home designers, however as a Vintage Store owner, I only found things for myself and props for my etsy store.

I bought a vintage steel iron and wooden spool for fabric photos, and the Chess Pawns to sell.

Much Appreciated!

This sexy blonde buff man is a dreamy handle on this soft pink coffee/tea mug. He is wearing a blue speedo and is in a bodybuilding pose just for you!

I'm so glad that my Esty Friend, Abby at Bigfoot Creative is now a repeat customer of mine (buying both the Kangaroo and Buff Man "Arnold"). I'm so glad she appreciates these quirky fun mugs! These photos are taken by her!

New Listings for Valentine's Day!

I have had these Vintage Valentine's Day Cards since I was a child. The Greeting Cards are also a personal item I bought as a kid and going antique shopping with my mom.

The Sesame Street Valentine's Day Card is one of my favorites! The card depicts Bert and Ernie in a bicycle built for two and the card reads, "'Wheel' You Be My Valentine". The Card is copyrighted Muppets, Inc.

4 Cards that read, "Be My Valentine" with the Teddy Bear and Bunny Painting a Pink Heart.
1 that reads, "You're Special" with the Teddy Bear and Pink Bunny sewing.
1 that reads, "Like You Lots" with the Teddy Bear and Pink Bunny riding a bicycle built for two.
1 that reads, "Have Fun Today!" with the Teddy Bear and Pink Bunny roller skating together.
1 that reads, "Happy Day" with the Teddy Bear and Pink Bunny walking together, holding balloons.

They include 3 with Fox and Bunny that reads, "Greetings"
2 with the Skunk, Bird and Butterfly that reads, "a Cheerful Note"
1 with Panda, Bird and Butterfly that reads, "Hello!"
1 with a Cat and Bird that reads, "Thinking of You"

Giveaways

As a vintage seller was interested in hearing about what other Vintage Sellers give to their customers in their packages. I posted on Vintage Etsy Society Street Team and asked what other vintage sellers "giveaway". I usually include my business card, thank you card with a handwritten note. But I would like to add something else for the New Year! For now I have added vintage inspired typewriter key beads with the buyers initials

New Hawaiian Tropical Floral Print Fabrics

I found these great 70s retro Vintage Fabrics! They totally remind me of Mrs. Roper from the show Three's Company. I think these would be great for any summer outfit or Hawaiian decor!

This Needle Threader was made in Western Germany.
The Box comes with instructions and two plastic pieces, one in red and the other white, when assembled, the white plastic base holds a spool of thread. and the needle is placed into the tube. The plastic parts come apart and they easily fit into the box. The box has a tear at the top of the box lid, but other than that it's in good condition.

This retro craft kit come with vintage scissors that comes attached to the original paper ephemera and The vintage box of Funny Face School Crayons. The box is an adorable box of retro funny faces.

This is only a home decor piece and seriously, everyone will want to use this typewriter!
