Fashion Icon (Part Three)

My most recent fashion icon is Zooey Deschanel who have been one of my favorites for a few years. She has partly inspired my haircut, but mostly her dress and skirts are what I took from her style. I love full shirts with tights. I am also inspired by her accessories, big sunglasses, scarfs and boots.

Fashion Icon (Part Two)

Audrey Hepburn's iconic style is possibly the most popular, especially with young girls. Her style is sweet, simple and elegant. I personally wear the black capri pants, black flats. My favorite accessories inspired by Audrey are big sunglasses and cute hats.

Mini Etsy Gifts

Being an ex-scrapbooker I had an abundance of beads and because I have always loved typewriters, I had many vintage inspired typewriter key beads, which I gave to my customers as an "extra". Now, I am running low on those and I have moved to giving vintage buttons to my customers. I hope they enjoy.
I also always wonder what types of "extras" other vintage Etsy sellers give away. As a vintage buyer, I always appreciate the little touches from sellers, even it it's a simple thank you note.

Arrow Craft

To make your own Native American Indian inspired Arrows first buy/find an arrowhead. Many stores in the southwest and Western museum's sell them and I''m sure Google has made the such infinitely easier.

Next, tie the Arrowhead onto a stick (which can be purchased at Michael's Arts and Crafts or in your backyard. Likewise, feathers can be purchased at Michael's, Walmart or any craft supply store.
Cut the feather in half with an xacto knife. If possible, tie the top and bottom of the feather to the stick and add super glue to the quill (middle) of the feather to the stick.

If possible, choose your paint colors. I choose two, one for the stick (grey blue) and another (yellow) for the stripes.

I created the yellow stripes by using tape to create a boarder and to make my lines as straight as possible. However, you can make whatever decoration or additions you would like.

Fashion Icon (Part One)

I have always loved Mary Tyler Moore's fashion sense. Since I was a kid, watching reruns of her show and the Dick Van Dyke show. I always loved that Mary or the Laura character was able to wear both dresses and pants on the show. I love her capri pants, black flats and long sleeve sweater look. I also enjoyed her dresses. They were tighter on top and had light flowy shirts that looked amazing when she danced. Mary has been a huge influence on my life and I try to were looks inspired by her all the time.
