Lush Haul for the Summer

I decided to treat myself with a Lush shopping trip. I decided to get some new items for my bath.

Bath Bomb: Sakura

The scents of mimosa and jasmine with the feeling of spring. I haven't used it yet, but I love the scent! It smells relaxing and it's not overpowering. Click here to buy this bath balm. I will do a review after I've tried it out. 

Face And Body Cleanser: Angels on Bare Skin

The kaolin clay base deep-cleanses while finely ground almonds and lavender gently exfoliates dry skin. I really like this on my skin, it's great for face and body. Previously, I've used the Mask of Magnaminty, however it dries my skin every time I've used it. For another good cleanser you can try the charcoal based Dark Angels. Bubble Bar: Milky Bath

Moisturizing cocoa butter, skimmed milk and olive oil for supremely soft skin, with the scent of orange oil. his was very nice, I enjoyed the relaxing bubbles and foam that came out of just using a piece of this bar. Though, I did have to break up some of the pieces while I was in the bath. You can purchase this cute milk bottle shaped bar here.

LA Art Book Fair 2016

 This is my third year going to the LA Art Book Fair at the Geffen/Museum of Contemporary Art space. And although I love this fair, it is getting so popular that there are too many people. It is a free event in Little Tokyo, which is rare for Los Angeles. I didn't have any books that I was looking for but I found a few, my haul is listed below.

 

"Bauhaus Schlemmer!" is a book/magazine that focuses on the Bauhaus school in Germany and their costume designs. The book, "We go to the gallery" is a funny book that turns the "Dick and Jane" books on its head! This book is by Dung Beetle Books. Lastly is "A Brief History of Curating", by my favorite curator, Hans Ulrich Obrist. He also autographed this book, which is my second book of his and I actually also met Hans and asked him to sign my first book in 2013.

Packing Haul

As I'll be going on vacation and I thought I'd post what I'll be taking with me in my suitcase (excluding outfits). Also, I have major anxiety when looking for my luggage, I added stickers to it so I can spot it right away and not have to pick up EVERY black suitcase on the luggage trolley.

I bought some more plants because gardening teaches patience, and helps me become more nurturing and it's a relaxing hobby. Granted, I know nothing about gardening, I just water and leave them along for the most part. I hope you enjoy my "new plant haul".
