Riverside Dickens Festival

I was finally able to make it to the Riverside Dickens Festival this year! The lectures were great and I learned a lot about Mr. Dickens and the Victorian era.

I attened the following lectures:

Dickens 101 - Lectures by Giulia Hoffmann and Ray Crosby – graduate students at UC Riverside, will each give their own version of the “Dickens 101” lecture, an introduction to Dickens’ life and career.

Bounderbies, Blackpools and Gradgrinds: Dickens’ Hard Times and the Social Conditions of mid-Victorian England – Lecture by Prof. Joseph Childers from UC Riverside.

Dickens’ Favorite Punch and Other Libations of His Times – Richard Foss, culinary historian and a published authority on alcoholic beverages.

Cause for Creativity

The Santa Monica Museum of Art has an annual event called, "Cause for Creativity: Tour da Arts", being underemployed last year I was able to donate my time as a Volunteer. I meet some great people, friends and helped many Cyclists and Museum Patrons register for the event! This year I will be a rider and I am so excited to see what I missed out on because I was working last year. Please watch this video (I am in the video at 00:25) and if you are going, I'll see you there!
