I attended the unveiling of the mural-canvas "Un Solo Sol" in celebration of the first anniversary of Un Solo Sol Kitchen. Local community leaders, artists, and local business owners were in attendance.
The art piece "Un Solo Sol" is co-authored by Rafael Escamilla and Carlos Ortez, founder of Un Solo Sol Kitchen. The art piece is a 5-foot square canvas forming a circle that depicts the Sun telling the history of humanity with respect to nourishment (body, mind and soul) and points the way towards the utopia that we must consider for the sustainability of life on Earth.
It was a really rewarding experience and the food was great! Delicious, healthy and unique. I enjoy this restaurant with a soul and a need for change in this community.
