Review: I had gone to Anthropologie to get another Fireside candle, unfortunately, it was sold out. But I found a Fir & Firewood which is similar in scent. The difference is the fruity and green apple, thankfully it isn't too strong. It is a good replacement for Fireside and it has a beautiful copper top. Though I would only buy it again if I can't find Fireside. In comparison to Thymes, Frasier Fir it does have a more nature smell. Thymes, Frasier Fir can have a manufactured, artificial "tree scent".

Holiday Candle Review: Fireside

 This Fireside candle has the scent of nutmeg, incense and patchouli combined with oakmoss, amber and cedar. I found it at Anthropologie for $38.00. The candle has three wicks and it's by Illume. The glass is Mercury Moonglow, with a green tone along the top part of the glass.

I was looking for a smooth smelling holiday candle that didn't smell like a Starbucks drink. I do prefer musky, woodland scents to sweet food type of smells. This candle smells like a bonfire in the woods in the best way possible. It's subtle, relaxing and very comforting. I wasn't planning on spending so much on a candle, but I couldn't put it down, I needed this in my life! I am really glad that purchased it, I'll already need to buy another one soon because it's already half gone. I've used it a lot and my apartment smells amazing because of it. This is a great gift and perfect for any home too. Treat yourself and buy this candle!

My Favorite Candles

These candles have been my favorite candles this past year. I bought the Frasier Fir Green Glass Candle from Thymes, around Christmas time and I loved it, it added the Christmas tree sent throughout my home. My boss gave me Fresh Cut Grass for my birthday and I love it. It smells like grass in the best way possible, it's fresh, smooth and light. This candle is from a local company in Los Angeles, but you can buy their candles online. Lastly, my latest find! From DW Home Scented Candles - Siren, Moonlit Orchid is an amazing scent, the webpage reads, "Ebony wood reflects soft peach, white orchid and aquatic lotus over ambered sandalwood, smooth cedar and pure vanilla". Plus the candle container beautiful and label is great too. Unlike the other two candles, this does not come in a box, but it's the least expensive candle.
