DIY: Spray Painted Basket Project

I saw older baskets spray painted to be given a new look on Pinterest. So I thought I would give this a try in my bathroom makeover, which you can read about, here. First I placed blue tape along newspaper edges and then placed the tape (as straight as I could) along the basket. Then I spray painted the bottom of the basket, I let it dry for two days.

Afterwards, I carefully removed the tape and newspaper to reveal the two-toned basket. I'll be posting photos of my completed bathroom soon, I just have a few more projects to complete! hat do you think of my new and improved basket? I really like it!

Homemade Scones

I bought myself a Ceramic Scone Pan from Cost Plus/World Market. I enjoyed the scones I made with this pan an it was so useful and easy.

Bathroom Makeover

I decided to finally update my bathroom! First the tapestry is a souvenir from my trip to England last year, you can see some of my photos from my vacation here. I loved the tapestry from Roman Baths in Bath. And as an added bonus I put it in my bath! I also bought the frame pieces from Michael's and asked a friend with a saw to cut the long pieces. We then connected the pieces with L brackets and small screws from Home Depot.

The two floating shelves I found at the Thrift store. I just needed my drill, screws and wooden dowels to adhere each of them onto my wall. My sink is so small that I needed a shelf to hold my soap and another to hold my scent diffuser from Pottery Barn. lastly, I bought a glass jar to hold my other soaps and placed that on my toilet.

Lastly, I organized my shelf and moved my baskets around. Actually, I just changed the basket above the shelves, but I'll post about that project later.  It's really coming together so far and I can finally enjoy my new relaxing bathroom!

Blog Content

I am currently working on better content for my blog. It's been a long time coming but I think I'll be making more time to write and post. Two of my inspirations lately have been Dana from The Wonder Forest and Gerry from The Bunnie Hole. I've been watching their videos on blog content and posting ideas. My brain is full of ideas, so I just need to post my new vintage listings on Etsy and write new blog postings.
